Studio Newsletter Term Three 2010
Hi everyone
Hope you are all having an enjoyable
holiday and come back to lessons refreshed.
My study this semester is about motivation and learning.
Already I have learnt some very interesting theories and ideas which I
will share with you over the next few months.
Sometimes as music teachers we can get carried away with the importance
of exams and forget the process of learning and the mastery of the instrument
are far more important. This has
always been my focus, but it is good to be reminded.
Learning should be fun, and mastery of our instrument our focus.
Exams can help us towards that goal, but they should not be our only
goal.
Parking and Gate
Please do not park in between the
mailboxes and street as neighbours use this area to collect their mail.
Exams
If your child wishes to sit Trinity
Guildhall’s theory exams, please let me know soon as closing dates are mid
August. The cost for Theory exams
are:
Grade 1 $84.00
Grade 2 $101.00
Grade 3 $112.00
Grade 4 $124.00
Trinity Guildhall Practical exams
entries are due mid July. So please get your fees to me as soon as possible.
Students preparing for St Cecilia exams
later in the year need to decide which session they wish to sit in.
The options are November or December 2010 and entries will be due for
November in mid August.
Concert
I will be starting concert preparation
this term. Please let me know as
soon as possible if your child wishes to participate.

$112.50 Per Term plus any material costs
Numbers will be limited for this class
which will run on Saturday morning from 10 am to 11 am during the school term.
Please register your interest as soon as possible.
